The City - EC1 to EC4

The City office market has continued to improve quarter on quarter during 2009, reaching a peak in Q3 of 1.2 million sq ft. Having reached its lowest levels of take up in Q1 with just over 425,000 sq ft, its leap of 27% from Q2 is an encouraging sign that occupiers are returning and they are surely capitalising on a market that is finding its feet.

- 1.2 million sq ft of take up in Q3 recorded so far, 35% of which is new or refurbished space.

- Watermark Place deal at 547,000 sq ft is the largest letting in the UK.

- 14.1 million sq ft is currently available, 48% of which is new or refurbished.

- 607,199 sq ft was newly marketed in September.
